A major tactical command exercise held annually by the Surrey Local Resilience Forum (SLRF), was a great success.
The SLRF coordinates the response of Surrey’s emergency services, health authorities, and local authorities to major incidents.
With membership consisting of Surrey Police, Surrey County Council, Surrey Fire & Rescue, South East Coast Ambulance Service, Primary Health Care Trusts, Surrey Boroughs, the Hospital Trusts, Armed Services, Environment Agency and the DCLG Resilience Emergencies Division, the SLRF agencies are involved in joint emergency planning, training and exercises on a continuing basis.
In a nutshell, all these agencies come together to rehearse for major emergencies, ensuring all communications and tactical planning work supremely in any eventuality. A fine job by all involved.
